About the role
As a Civil Maintenance Planner, you will be part of a professional team focused on the provision of effective planning, development, prioritisation of works leading to the ultimate success of MI’s maintenance planning program through high-quality investigation, assessment and planning of maintenance works, as well as providing in-field support for key safety/quality/environmental functions required for efficient execution of works.

The irrigation water and drainage services we provide have helped create a diverse and highly productive agricultural region known as the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA). The MIA is home to over 50,000 people with most jobs tied inextricably to the water we supply to farms and industry. We are a dynamic and innovative regional company that employs approximately 160 people at two locations in the MIA - Griffith and Leeton.

What you'll bring
- Current ‘C’ class motor vehicle licence
- Experience in conducting and planning maintenance works
- Intermediate computer skills in the Microsoft suite
- Experience in quantity estimation
- Knowledge / experience in hazard identification and mitigation e.g., powerline, traffic hazard management and Dial Before You Dig investigation.
- Knowledge of civil maintenance activities e.g. earth works, culvert/pipe installs, excavator operations.
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of safe work procedures and WHS training relevant to work
