Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) is one of Australia’s largest private irrigation companies, serving over 3,000+ landholdings across 378,000+ hectares. Our irrigation and drainage services have helped to create a diverse and highly productive agricultural region known as the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA), home to over 50,000 people. Your Role: 

  • Innovative Projects: Work on a broad range of IT and OT projects, utilising a tech stack that includes cloud, virtualisation, portable devices, cybersecurity, and regional connectivity. 
  • Lead Technology Initiatives: Identify and execute cutting-edge technology projects from inception to successful implementation. 
  • Manage Transformations: Uphold exemplary standards in managing tech transformations. 
  • Contribute to Cybersecurity: Support and enhance our cybersecurity posture by aligning IT services with business objectives using frameworks such as the Essential 8 and ITIL. 
  • Collaborate: Forge bonds with essential partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless performance and productivity 

 

What you’ll bring: 

  • 5+ years' experience as a Systems Engineer in a medium to large business setting. 
  • Proven expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, M365, Intune, Defender, Windows Server, Exchange, and Active Directory. 
  • Experience in implementing IT frameworks, and designing and building systems, and cloud solutions. 
  • Demonstrated experience with incident / change management. 
  • Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills. 
  • A genuine enthusiasm for IT and a commitment to staying at the forefront of technological evolution. 
  • Current ‘C’ class motor vehicle licence.
